4” & 5” St. Clair Goby Tubes
I've been selling and designing baits for the last 7 years and this one was the bait that really turned things around for many anglers. St. Clair Goby was designed to mimic the exotic goby, which is now a major food source in Lake St. Clair. As it turns out, this natural color bait with a splash of purple flake in the laminate top has proven itself on both the big water and inland. The 5” version is a definite big fish bait for Lake St Clair!
4” & 5” Great Lakes Craw Tubes
This custom color is one of the family of premium laminated tubes created by Wayne Carpenter. Great Lakes Craw has proven itself in its first season by producing for tournament anglers. The 4” version particularly effective on Lake Erie and on the clear lakes in upper Michigan: Lake Charlevoix, Burt/Mullet Lakes, Elk/Torch Lakes and Grand Traverse Bay.
4 & 5” Firetiger Tubes
Firetiger is a third generation color, from a successful line of premium laminates. The purpose here was to match my research on bass and create one more "bright" tube. When they want bright, they want it like nothing else. What's good is that when they don't want it, you can put it away after about 5 minutes, and move on to other colors. It can be a very predictable color. Although it was not the original intent, Firetiger is an excellent match for a yellow perch. In 2004, there was more money won in tournaments by my customers on this color, than any other in my inventory.
4 & 5” Canadian Mist Tubes
This is an Xtreme Bass Tackle exclusive color, Canadian Mist. This is the most consistent color in my inventory, across 6 years of research and sales. Through the research, I know that these design elements are high percentage for smallmouth bass: small flake, purple or orange (copper) flake. Canadian mist has a smoke base with small gold and small purple flake. A good bait when the bite is tough, a great bait for average days and a reliable bait for those days where is seems like you can do no wrong.
4” Dark Melon dbl Orange Tube
This is an Xtreme Bass Tackle custom design, Dark Melon with double orange (copper) flake. This is a consistent summer bite producer! A dark melon base in the plastic color and both medium and small orange for the flake combination. We found out in 1999 that doubling the orange (copper) flake produces a bite, when other baits give up. Through my research, I know that these design elements are high percentage for smallmouth bass: small flake, purple or orange (copper) flake. Dark Melon with double orange has two out of three of these elements. A great clear water bait!
